Patricia’s Obituary

Patricia La-Von Jewett passed away on June 20, 2021. Patricia was born to her parents, Noah Flatt and Mary (Gentry) Flatt on September 2, 1948 in Detroit. Her family later moved to the suburbs, and Patricia graduated from Dondero High School in 1966. She married the love of her life, Roger Jewett, that same year on September 30th in Clawson.

Together Roger and Patricia built their family life. She took medical college courses in Rochester, and began working in patient registration for McLaren Hospital and Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and Troy. She retired from Beaumont after twenty years of service.

Patricia and Roger were blessed with three children, whom they loved dearly: Paul (Kelli) Jewett, Tammy (Rocky) Mack and Steven (Holly) Jewett. Although Patricia enjoyed her career, she was most dedicated to her family and her church. Family times were special to Patricia, and she enjoyed creating a comfortable home life. She was a longtime member of Clawson Church of Christ, and later attended Waterford Church of Christ. Patricia was also involved for many years with the Clawson/Troy Optimist Club.

Patricia leaves many to mourn her passing, including her dear husband, Roger, and her loving children Paul, Tammy, Steven and their families, including 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Her sister, Deanna (Bill) Brown, also grieves her passing.

Visitation for Patricia will be held on Sunday, June 27 at Gramer Funeral Home in Clawson from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, and also on Monday, June 28 at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Patricia’s funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 29 at 10:00 AM, in-state at 9:00 AM, at Waterford Church of Christ.
