Edward Kretz Obituary
Edward J. Kretz, a resident of Washington, Michigan since 1971, and formerly of Detroit, Michigan passed away on June 2nd. He was 88 years old.
Edward was a loving husband and father, dedicated to his wife, Marguerite. They were married for 67 years. He instilled in his children the values of love, hard work, helping others, and family. Edward was a loyal employee of General Motors Co. where he worked as a Metal Model maker for over 30 years.
He loved hunting, walleye fishing, and playing cards. In his younger days he was an active bowler and loved to square dance.
Edward is survived by his wife Marguerite, children Edward (Roberta) Kretz of Ira Township, Linda (Chris) Gassen of Grosse Pointe Woods, Mark Kretz of Royal Oak, Brian (Gina) Kretz of Brighton Township, grandchildren Ryan (Sherry) Kretz, Nathan (Mandy) Kretz, Michael Gassen,
Vincent Kretz (Reece Blake) and Hunter, Ashley, and Kennedy Kretz and 3 great-grandchildren Georgia, Olivia and Kendall. He was preceded in death by his son Kenneth his brother Tony, and sister Madeline.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, MI from 4-8 pm
Funeral Service will take place at 7pm
Burial will be held at Christian Memorial Cemetery (521 E. Hamlin Rd, Rochester Hills, MI 48307) on Tuesday June 11, 2024
