Michigan Lawmakers to Spend $180,000 on Pheasants

Governor Snyder signed a spending bill last week that includes $180,000 for the purchase of pheasants.  The pheasants will be released into state game areas in an effort to create and improve hunting opportunities. The legislation was passed in an effort to determine if improving pheasant hunting opportunities will increase interest in small game hunting.  The will also consider the program for future renewal if it proves successful.  Click here for more information
